All submissions must be self-released or on an independent label. An independent lable may have major label distribution, but it must not be a major label or an affiliate or sub label of a major label. Unsigned artist are welcome.

Entrants may submit work released from any previous year, as long as work is available to the public.

The W.A.M. Awards except entrants worldwide in all categories.

Entrants music does not have to be released or distributed by a third-party. Artist may self- release music on their own website or a public website. Entrants music must be online and available to the public, either for sale or for free.

Entrants can provide a link to their music or send a Mp3 via DropBox or WeTransfer . Examples include a link to on their website, Reverbnation, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, Spotify, etc. Songs must not be clips. Judges must be able to listen to the full song. W.A.M. does not accept mail-in or physical copies.

Original material is eligible in every category. The W.A.M Awards does not accept cover material in the song categories.

Holiday Songs must be original. All Holiday songs are accepted. This category is not limited to Christmas music.

Album and EP categories: one entry = one complete, full-length Album or one EP (4 Songs or More) EP = 4-6 songs under 30 minutes Album = 6+ songs or 4+ songs over 30 minutes Song Categories: one entry = one complete song under 10 minutes only. The panel reserves the right to move an entry into a new category if the artist would place for a nomination. The artist can reject the nomination if they do not agree that they should be nominated in the new category.

All submission fees are non-refundable.

All self-entrants must be 18 years or older on the date of submission.

Up to five (5) nominees may be chosen for each category. In rare cases, the panel may decide to go over 5 nominees if there is a tie between contestants.

Nominations and Awards are final and binding. Judges reserve the right not to pick a nominee or winner if judges believe that the entrants artistic excellence is not enough to grant an award.

Artists maintain all rights to their work.

Entrants agrees to release, indemnify, and hold The W.A.M Awards, judges, sponsors, and associates harmless for liability, damages, or claims for injury or loss to any person or property relating to, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, participation in The W.A.M. Awards.

If a category does not recieve any entries or does not receiving a winning entry, the panel has the right to eliminate the category. The panel also has the right to add a category if it is deemed that a song or artist deserves an award, but does not fall into a listed category.
